Royal Preston Hospital - Patient Transport ServicesLancashire Ambulance Service NHS Trust Patient Transport Service Ambulance transportation may be authorised for those patients who meet certain medical criteria. This will be determined by your local Primary Care Trust or hospital. Lancashire Ambulance Patient Transport Service is committed to providing a high quality, timely and caring service for our patients. Every day we provide transport for nearly 3,000 people and we realise that the journey is an important part of the overall hospital experience. Our staff are carefully selected and highly trained with particular emphasis on patient care. All staff wear ID badges and from the moment they collect you from your home they will ensure that you travel safely and comfortably, providing you with any assistance you may need. The needs of patients vary and we are constantly working to provide the most appropriately designed vehicles. These range from non emergency ambulances with stretcher and oxygen facilities, to cars manned by dedicated volunteer drivers.
