About UsTravel2Health.co.uk is part of a wider European project, OPTIMUM2, which aims to improve accessibility to busy locations in urban areas. Lancashire County Council and Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust are working in partnership to improve access to travel information for the Royal Preston Hospital and Chorley Hospital, with a view to helping patients, visitors and staff make an informed choice about how they travel to these sites. Both the NHS service delivery structure, and the transport network are constantly subject to review and change, and the Lancashire OPTIMUM2 Project will also provide research-based recommendations to help transport planners cater for the needs of patients, visitors and staff in the future. |
